ABOUT ME

Make-up Artsit TOKINA

They say that makeup is nourishment for the soul. Is there anything you would like to tell all people who enjoy dressing up?

I love the way it changes beautifully and I believe it is a kind of switch. It is not a switch on the wall, but a switch that exists in your heart, in myriad ways. My mission is to help as many people as possible to color their lives and express their deepest joy and other emotions through makeup.

As a child, I spent countless hours in front of the mirror with my makeup tools, my mother’s work tools. They were my favorite tools because they gave me curiosity and excited me about myself. Even as a child, I remember feeling that many women were not only “cosmetically” transformed by my mother’s makeup, but that their inner selves were also transformed.

In this way, I realized that maximizing one’s attractiveness is a way to enrich one’s life.

A BIT MORE ABOUT ME

As a child, I had atopic skin to the point where I could not appear in public. I tried to improve my atopic skin from the root by improving my lifestyle, removing chemical additives from my daily life, and using all kinds of methods. As a result, I am now completely cured.

Based on my own experience, I know that rough skin is very painful. There are various symptoms such as redness, pimples, and itching. I would like to be there for those who want to be fashionable and beautiful even if they have a weak skin condition and help them become beautiful.

I speak Japanese, French, and English. Please feel free to ask me anything about makeup, skin care, skin problems as well as Paris and Japan.

MY JOURNEY

I was two years old when I first applied makeup, and from that day on I was hooked on the world of beauty. More than a decade later, I began an amazing journey of training under masters in all areas of beauty, including makeup and skin care, as well as art, culture, and philosophy.

Wanting to pursue the world of makeup, I decided to quit my university entrance exams midway through my studies to go to France by myself to learn the latest makeup techniques in Paris. Soon after graduating from high school, I was on a plane to France to study makeup in the fashion capital of the world, knowing nothing about French, let alone English.

After arriving in France, I studied French hard and enrolled in the makeup school “Le conservatoir du maquillage”. At the same time, I received a ticket to the Paris Collection (Paris Collection). The Paris Collection was my number one goal as a makeup artist in the fashion industry, and it was also my dream.

I believe that makeup and skin care is the most accessible personal investment you can make. I want to help you rediscover yourself, enhance your natural features and feel the most beautiful ever.
